A: The website migration service offered by eGeekMD is absolutely free of charge and consists of transferring all your website files, databases and e–mails from your present hosting provider to your brand–new web hosting account with us. We will also fine–tune all the settings required for your web sites to be completely operational on our ultra–modern cloud hosting platform.Our techs are completely capable of moving any sort of website. With years of experience in the industry, they’re well–versed in the inner workings of our web hosting platform, our Control Panel and all other commonly used Control Panels. For them, transferring a custom–built app with multiple custom libraries is as easy as transferring a plain WordPress–based weblog.

A: While we cannot give you an exact ETA, because there are lots of factors, among them the size of the files and databases, the location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll give our best to migrate your web site within 48h, and in certain cases – within 24h (when the content is not very large).

A: Yup. We will need the name of the site that you would like us to migrate. We will also require a means to log into your old hosting account so that we can get the files associated with your site.

A: While we transfer your website, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your former web hosting provider. Then we will tell you how to transfer the domain to your hosting account with us and how to change the DNS resource records.

A: While we move your web content, your web hosting provider will not be aware of the transfer at all. We will not get in touch with them in any way.

A: Yep. We support all conventional Linux–based hosting platforms. We don’t support Windows–based hosting platforms, as we don’t offer Windows hosting solutions ourselves.In addition, we do not support proprietary website building and administration tools like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
