A catch-all feature that is enabled for a given e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise put, if you delete an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the same domain, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be vital in case you run some business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited emails, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filtering software so as to get only authentic emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting
If you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a website hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel comes with quite a few features, but it’s extremely simple to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires only one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you will only have to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the respective email address. Our system will alert you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or pick another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the very same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all feature can be enabled without any effort if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domains hosted in the account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will notice a mini logo conveniently located right next to each one. With just a click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option through the contextual menu that will come into sight. In case any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will let you know, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
