.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain extension is the single TLD meant for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. Initially, solely 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to secure john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought 3rd-level domains remained running.

Through our firm, you can order your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to correct the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer key from the present registrar firm and we will renew it when the transfer has been completed. There are no special conditions on who can purchase a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the concept behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME top-level domain is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the proper spelling in your native language.
